We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join our expanding and innovative team in the Yorkshire region, responsible for overseeing the corporate tax obligations of a diverse client portfolio.

The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, as our client base spans various sectors within the local economy.

While the primary focus will be on annual corporate tax compliance, opportunities for tax planning will naturally arise within this varied client portfolio.

This includes areas such as group tax strategies, property tax considerations, capital allowances, research and development tax incentives, and s455 tax strategies.

Tax accounting will also play a crucial role in this position.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other Managers and Senior Managers on independent tax advisory projects, which may involve structuring acquisitions and divestitures, transaction support, and due diligence.

Additionally, the role will involve supervising and reviewing the work of tax seniors and trainees within the team, including some managerial responsibilities and work planning.

Typically, the individual will report directly to the head of the corporate tax division and/or client partner.

Ongoing professional development will be provided, with opportunities to attend both internal and external training sessions.

This position offers a diverse range of work for individuals with a similar background in corporate tax compliance. Experience in managing large groups, partnerships, non-resident landlords, and non-resident capital gains tax would be advantageous.

We expect candidates to possess practical experience in managing a corporate tax compliance portfolio, strong managerial skills, and a solid understanding of corporate taxation issues, particularly those relevant to owner-managed businesses.

Experience in organizing the delivery of tax services, problem-solving, and the ability to take initiative are essential.

Applicants should hold a CTA and/or CA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
