Position Overview

The Associate Director of Structured Credit Sales plays a pivotal role in fostering the Bank's connections with Clients through the promotion and sale of Financial Market offerings.

  • Client Engagement: Actively engage with clients to understand their business requirements and collaborate with Relationship Managers and sales teams to tailor solutions that meet their needs.
  • Cross-Selling Initiatives: Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell our extensive Network and enhance client service across various asset classes and geographical boundaries.
  • Origination Focus: Devise and implement strategies to originate new clients while concentrating on the origination of securitization and structured financing solutions, particularly with Financial Institutions.
  • Collaboration with Industry Teams: Build strong working relationships with key industry banking teams, including Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Trade Finance, to support origination efforts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain productive relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations through regular communication and the provision of relevant market insights.
  • Operational Compliance: Ensure adherence to SCB's policies and procedures regarding trade execution, record-keeping, and best execution practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor client trading limits and obtain necessary approvals for any transactions that exceed these limits.
  • Service Excellence: Commit to delivering exceptional service to enhance the financial markets relationship and support the global financial market's relationship for key clients.
  • Account Planning: Maintain an updated account plan for Financial Markets products, identifying growth opportunities and developing action plans accordingly.
  • Proactive Communication: Engage clients proactively, ensuring timely delivery of relevant market intelligence and responding efficiently to inquiries.
  • Infrastructure Development: Assist in establishing the necessary infrastructure to facilitate effective trading operations.
  • Financial Market Strategy: Drive key financial market themes and initiatives while aligning closely with risk management strategies.
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve assigned budget targets for client income, focusing on Asset Backed Solutions and related projects.
  • Collaboration with Structuring Teams: Work closely with FM Structuring teams to provide optimal risk solutions for clients.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in ABS & CLO Sales or Broking, enabling immediate contribution to the role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the global securitized products market, particularly in the US.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to navigate multicultural environments.
