Position Overview: Associate Director, Structured Credit Sales

As an Associate Director in Structured Credit Sales, your primary responsibility will be to enhance the Bank's connections with Clients through the promotion and sales of Financial Market offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster cross-selling opportunities and explore innovative methods to leverage our distinctive Network.
  • Focus on collaboration across various asset classes and international borders to optimize client service and financial returns.
  • Engage with clients alongside Relationship Managers and other sales, research, and trading colleagues to gain a comprehensive understanding of each client's business requirements.
  • Devise a tailored engagement strategy to address client needs or attract new clients for Financial Market products, particularly emphasizing Origination with Financial Institutions, especially in securitization and structured financing.
  • Build strong working relationships with key industry banking teams to support Origination efforts, including teams focused on FISG, Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, Aviation & Ship Finance, and Trade Finance.
  • Establish productive connections with client decision-makers through calls, visits, and the provision of relevant insights to become a vital external resource in their decision-making regarding financial market instruments.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with clients to execute trades and orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with global standards for FM Sales staff.
  • Ensure that appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are established to facilitate efficient and compliant business processes.
  • Monitor client trading limits and secure necessary approvals for any anticipated excesses arising from specific transactions.
  • Deliver exceptional service to strengthen financial market relationships and take responsibility for the global financial market's relationship with key clients.
  • Maintain updated account plans for Financial Markets products for each client, identifying growth opportunities and creating actionable plans.
  • Engage proactively with clients, providing timely market intelligence and responding efficiently to inquiries.
  • Oversee all aspects of service delivery within financial markets, including support functions like operations.
  • Assist in establishing adequate infrastructure for trading activities.
  • Drive Financial Market themes and key initiatives, ensuring alignment with risk management strategies.
  • Achieve the assigned annual budget for client income from designated clients, focusing on generating income from Asset Backed Solutions, CPM distribution projects, and Repo/TRS financing.
  • Collaborate with FM Structuring teams to provide optimal risk solutions for clients.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in ABS & CLO Sales or Broking, enabling immediate contribution to the role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global securitized products market, particularly in the US.
  • Strong interpersonal skills suited for a Sales role, with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to work across cultures in a dynamic environment.
