Position Overview

The role of the Associate Director in Structured Credit Sales involves enhancing the bank's connections with clients through the promotion and sale of Financial Market offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and expand client relationships by proactively marketing and selling Financial Market products.
  • Encourage cross-selling initiatives and explore innovative ways to leverage our unique network.
  • Prioritize collaboration across various asset classes and international borders to optimize client service and profitability.
  • Engage with clients alongside Relationship Managers and other sales, research, and trading colleagues to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business requirements.
  • Formulate a client engagement strategy aimed at addressing their needs while also focusing on the origination of new clients for Financial Market products, particularly in securitization and structured financing.
  • Build strong working relationships with key industry banking teams to support origination efforts, including sectors such as FISG, Leveraged Finance, Real Estate Finance, Aviation & Ship Finance, and Trade Finance.
  • Develop productive relationships with client decision-makers through calls, visits, and the provision of relevant insights to become a vital resource in their decision-making processes regarding financial market instruments.

Operational Duties:

  • Coordinate with clients to execute trades and orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with global FM Sales standards.
  • Ensure the establishment of appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures to facilitate efficient and compliant business processes.
  • Monitor client trading limits and secure necessary approvals for any anticipated excesses resulting from specific transactions.
  • Deliver exceptional service to strengthen financial market relationships.
  • Oversee the global financial market relationship for key clients, collaborating with Relationship Managers and product specialists in various regions to enhance the global franchise.
  • Maintain an updated account plan for Financial Markets products for each client, identifying growth opportunities and developing action plans accordingly.
  • Engage proactively with clients, providing timely market intelligence and responding efficiently to inquiries.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of service delivery within financial markets, including operational support functions.
  • Assist in establishing the necessary infrastructure for effective trading operations.
  • Drive key Financial Market themes and initiatives while ensuring alignment with risk management strategies.
  • Achieve assigned annual budget targets for client income from designated clients, focusing on income generation from Asset Backed Solutions, CLOs, ABS, and related projects.
  • Collaborate with FM Structuring teams to provide optimal risk solutions for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in ABS & CLO Sales or Broking, enabling immediate contribution to the role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global securitized products market, particularly in the US.
  • Strong interpersonal skills suited for a sales environment, with the ability to connect with diverse clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to work across cultures in a dynamic setting.
