Main Responsibilities
- Greet and direct patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
- Manage appointment bookings, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare staff.
- Process prescriptions, letters, and other patient-related documents with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide empathetic support in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Collaborate with our 'on-duty team' to ensure seamless coverage and support.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear and concise information to patients and healthcare staff.

The Limes Medical Centre is a dynamic and supportive practice serving approximately 20,000 patients across four sites in Epping, Theydon Bois, North Weald, and Waltham Abbey. As a training practice, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and supporting the development of our healthcare professionals.

Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent communication skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner.
- Ability to work in a polite, confidential, and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times.
- Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations.
- Confidence to work as part of a team and ability to 'think on your feet'.
- Strong IT and administration skills.
- Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
Desirable
- Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable.
