The Primary Care Careers team is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our front-of-house team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Manage appointment bookings, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Process prescriptions, letters, and other documents with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Support the on-duty team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.

Essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working with the general public, with a sensitive and empathetic approach.
  • Strong IT and administration skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Flexibility to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
