Position Overview
We are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to become a part of our welcoming team. This role involves some travel across various Building Products locations throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Operations Manager will be accountable for:

  • Executing the logistics strategy while achieving established KPIs.
  • Leading and nurturing the logistics team to ensure they deliver value and results for the Mortar division.
  • Managing projects, guiding team efforts, and ensuring timely project delivery through effective planning and organization, including the creation of innovative working methods.
  • Conducting FORS audits, haulier inductions, and vehicle inspections, as well as leading safety meetings and monitoring the safety performance of hauliers.
  • Overseeing the distribution and transportation of all Mortar Products.
  • Facilitating the effective application of policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  • Implementing new policies or adjusting existing procedures to reduce costs, enhance accuracy, improve customer service, and ensure safety while meeting distribution requirements.
  • Assisting the logistics team in maintaining compliance for company vehicles and drivers, including tachograph management, maintenance, record-keeping, and driver training.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Logistics Operations Manager position will possess experience in a comparable role and have:

  • CPC qualification.
