We are currently seeking a Distribution Manager to become an integral part of our dedicated team. This role involves overseeing operations across various Building Products sites throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will possess a CPC accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

The Distribution Manager will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Execute the logistics strategy, achieving set KPIs.
  • Lead and develop the logistics team to drive value and results for the Mortar division.
  • Manage projects, coordinate team activities, and ensure timely delivery of projects through effective planning and organization, including the establishment of new operational practices.
  • Conduct FORS audits, oversee haulier inductions, and perform truck inspections. Additionally, facilitate haulier safety meetings and monitor safety performance.
  • Supervise the transportation and distribution of all Mortar Products.
  • Assist in the effective application of policies and procedures concerning regulatory impacts and safety requirements.
  • Implement new policies or adjust existing procedures to reduce costs, enhance accuracy, improve customer service and safety, and meet distribution needs.
  • Support the logistics team in ensuring compliance with vehicle and driver regulations (tachographs, maintenance, record keeping, driver training, etc.).

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate for the Distribution Manager position will have relevant experience in a similar capacity, including:

  • CPC qualification.
