Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Warehousing to join our team at WR Logistics. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating warehouse operations at our new 100,000 sq ft warehouse in Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards and that the best care is given to customers' import goods.
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the warehouse.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Manage a team of warehouse operatives and team managers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and software.
