DigiKape Resourcing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our Community Equipment Service team in Lancashire. This role focuses on the provision of paediatric equipment, ensuring optimal support for children within their homes and communities.

Role Overview

As an Occupational Therapy Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of community equipment services. You will provide clinical leadership, expertise, and guidance to ensure the effective management and provision of paediatric equipment across Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide expert advice and guidance on the selection, prescription, and use of paediatric equipment. Conduct clinical reviews and audits to ensure best practice and adherence to guidelines.
  • Team Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Community Equipment Service team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively and provide mentorship to team members.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative strategies to enhance the provision of paediatric equipment services. Collaborate with stakeholders across health and social care to ensure seamless integration and service improvement.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to community equipment provision. Utilize data insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partnerships: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including prescribers, CES providers, and families. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to equipment provision.
Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants should possess a recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy (e.g., BSc(Hons) OT). Significant experience working within a paediatric setting, with a proven track record of managing community equipment services is essential.
