About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Mobility Health Physical Therapy. As a Children and Young People Mental Health Community Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the services we provide with children, young people, families, and educational settings, and to develop your career in mental health support to children, young people, and families.

The successful candidate will be a qualified Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working with children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing services. You will be knowledgeable and experienced in working with CYP with mental health needs, completing mental health assessments, providing practice supervision and support, and providing specialist care directly to children and young people and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people in educational settings and the community
  • Work closely with children, young people, families, and educational settings to develop and implement mental health support plans
  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide practice supervision and support
  • Provide specialist care directly to children and young people and families
  • Network with other agencies to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Core MHP qualification relevant to mental health
  • Post-graduate experience working with children and young people
  • Understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport
