About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainee Supervising Practitioner to join our innovative Mental Health Support Team at Compass. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver training, evidenced-based interventions, and consultation to children, young people, families, and educational staff.
  • Support the development of new skills in delivering CBT-informed supervision.
  • Undertake a PG Certificate in Clinical Supervision once reaching the required minimum competencies defined by HEE.
  • Collaborate with the team to shape services and develop your career in mental health support.
Person Specification
  • Core professional qualification relevant to mental health nursing with specialism in mental health or learning disability nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, CWP, EMHP.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Willingness to complete a post-graduate certificate in supervision.
  • One year post-qualification experience of working therapeutically with children and young people as an EMHP/CYP-IAPT practitioner.
  • Experience of working in a community and/or educational environment.
  • Collaborative working and effective engagement with families and carers.
