About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Compass. As a key member of our Compass Bloom MHST team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people in Central & West Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mental health interventions to children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, provide practice supervision and support, and provide specialist care directly to children and young people and families.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with educational settings, families, and other stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health strategies and initiatives within Compass and the wider community.
Requirements
  • Be a suitably qualified CYP Mental Health practitioner, such as a Qualified EMHP, CYP IAPT Qualification, Registered Social Worker, or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Have experience of working with children and young people, their families, and others, including experience of working with anxiety disorders and affective (mood) disorders.
  • Have experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families, such as CBT and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Be able to travel to meet the requirements of the post and have a full driving license.
