About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Compass. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 therapeutic mental health interventions with children and young people
  • Conduct group parenting programmes and work with families to promote mental health and wellbeing
  • Work within educational settings to increase mental health awareness among staff
  • Conduct mental health assessments and make risk assessments as necessary
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Practitioner with experience of working with children and young people
  • Experience of delivering specific therapeutic interventions, such as CBT and solution-focused brief therapy
  • Ability to work within educational settings and with a wide range of agencies and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
