About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Civica. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the defence sector, as well as managing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government and defence sectors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key government and defence stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning our services to meet them.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on service offerings and project delivery.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development within the IT consultancy sector, specifically targeting government and defence clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT resource augmentation and IT project services.
  • Strong understanding of government and defence procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
