About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Swimming Teacher to join our team at GLL. As a key member of our swimming program, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality swimming lessons and leading a team of teachers to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Delivery: Ensure the safety and control of pupils during swimming lessons, enforcing all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of teachers to deliver lessons consistently, following our product manual and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate and monitor pupil progression, updating records and providing developmental feedback to teaching teams.
  • Mentorship: Guide and develop newly qualified teachers, providing positive feedback and supporting their growth within the team.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with new-enrolments, re-enrolments, and other administrative duties as required by the General Manager.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: STA Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualification, with a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of health, safety, and relevant legislation, as well as Child Protection Policy.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate pupils.
