Procurement Category Lead - Marketing – Salary approximately £50,000
This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual eager to be part of a high-achieving Procurement team, equipped with robust commercial acumen and a fervor for Marketing Procurement.
Within Aviva's Procurement division, we oversee the management of the company's indirect Third Party expenditures. By developing a comprehensive understanding of suppliers and market dynamics, we collaborate with the business to refine their needs and ensure that suitable products and services are procured under optimal contracts, delivering maximum value. We also provide a structured approach to assist the business in managing their active suppliers, enabling them to enhance performance and mitigate operational risks.
Our function is committed to ensuring that both new sourcing initiatives and existing supplier agreements align with the Aviva Strategy. The Procurement division serves all Business Units, fostering opportunities for commercial enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary objective of this position is to optimize value through comprehensive commercial management of Aviva's key suppliers and related third-party expenditures, developing and executing category strategies, and driving value throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for achieving set commercial objectives for the category, including the delivery of sustainable cost savings, and will oversee all relevant category or sub-category expenditures.
You will work collaboratively with various functions, providing constructive challenges where necessary, to ensure a cohesive procurement strategy and plan is implemented. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong commercial and stakeholder management capabilities. Proven experience in Category Management. Expertise in leading and managing sourcing initiatives. Proficiency in developing and negotiating contracts. A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred; CIPS certification is advantageous.Benefits:
