Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the total UK Energy portfolio across Gas and Electricity, with the potential to become an aggregated European wide portfolio.
  • Develop and deliver best-in-class Sourcing Strategies, building on an in-depth understanding of our sub-categories, markets, suppliers, cost drivers, and cost structure.
  • Recommend course of action to deliver all objectives, including optimal sourcing approach.
  • Proactively map and manage category-related risks as relevant.
  • Engage stakeholders to build a collaborative working relationship and get involved in areas not previously managed by procurement.
  • Work with supply chain stakeholders to ensure business continuity and with marketing and technical stakeholders to deliver cost reduction objectives and innovation needs.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure that Valeo Snack Foods becomes a preferred customer.
  • Ensure all governance aspects, including legal agreements, are in force.
Requirements
  • Graduate qualification as a minimum.
  • In-depth experience in strategic sourcing of an array of Indirect sub-categories, including Energy, Capex, MRO, and Marketing.
  • Knowledge and experience of world-class category management and sourcing practices from one or several world-class companies.
  • Experienced in managing sourcing categories across multiple geographies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Strong results-orientation and proven track record of consistent outstanding performance and results delivery.
  • Strong ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proactive and action-orientated.
  • Structured yet flexible.
  • Creative and continuously looking for stretching value-adding opportunities.
  • Experienced in enabling innovation with suppliers.
  • Proven ability to build strong supplier relationships to achieve business goals.
  • Experienced in managing all procurement aspects of a category.
