About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our Indirect Sourcing team at Valeo Foods. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for delivering category objectives, cost reduction programs, and a competitive advantage in line with our business strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Management: Develop and deliver best-in-class sourcing strategies for indirect categories, including Energy, Capex, MRO, and Marketing, building on an in-depth understanding of our sub-categories, markets, suppliers, cost drivers, and cost structure.
  • Sourcing and Negotiation: Recommend courses of action to deliver all objectives, including optimal sourcing approaches, and proactively map and manage category-related risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders to build a collaborative working relationship and get involved in areas not previously managed by procurement, such as Marketing procurement.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a small team consisting of 1 Indirect Senior Buyer.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Graduate qualification as a minimum.
  • Experience: In-depth experience in strategic sourcing of indirect sub-categories, including Energy, Capex, MRO, and Marketing.
  • Skills: Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, strong results-orientation, and proven track record of consistent outstanding performance and results delivery.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Analysis: Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive and action-orientated, with the ability to get into the required level of operational details to deliver business needs.
