Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI/CT Radiographer to join our team at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload. You will work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
  • Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.
  • Work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC.
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programmes.
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy.
  • Competency in intravenous cannulation and administration of contrast media is essential.
  • Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rota.

Person Specification

  • As an MRI/CT Radiographer, you will have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge are desirable.
  • Experience in a wide variety of MRI scans, including Cardiac MRI and/or CT, is highly desirable.
  • You will have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike.
  • You will be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors.
  • You will have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work.
  • You will ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
  • You will demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
