In your role as a Specialist MRI/CT Radiographer, you will have numerous opportunities for professional growth and will gain insights into the diverse services we offer. Given our focus on cardiac services, prior experience in Cardiac MRI and/or CT is highly advantageous, as is familiarity with Siemens imaging technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service for a diverse patient caseload.
  • Exhibit proficiency in operating all relevant imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate with leading professionals and utilize cutting-edge practices and facilities.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members.
  • Ensure MRI safety compliance according to established protocols.
  • Adhere to IRMER regulations and maintain professional standards as outlined by the HCPC.
  • Engage in departmental audits and Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Assist Clinical Lead Radiographers in their duties.
  • Ensure all imaging equipment is safe, functional, and report any malfunctions in accordance with Nuffield Health policies.
  • Demonstrate competency in intravenous cannulation and the administration of contrast media.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with statutory and organizational standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
