In the role of MRI/CT Radiographer at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital, you will have numerous opportunities for professional growth and to expand your knowledge of our diverse services. Given our specialization in cardiac services, experience in Cardiac MRI and/or CT is highly advantageous, along with familiarity with Siemens equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
  • Possess a postgraduate qualification and/or advanced technical expertise (preferred).
  • Demonstrate experience in a variety of MRI scans, particularly Cardiac MRI and/or CT.
  • Exhibit a caring and understanding demeanor towards patients and colleagues.
  • Show respect for all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintain a proactive and innovative approach to your work.
  • Deliver services of the highest quality with sensitivity and compassion.
  • Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.

Main Duties:

  • Provide a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a diverse patient caseload.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the operation of all relevant equipment.
  • Collaborate with leading professionals and utilize cutting-edge practices and technology.
  • Mentor and support junior staff members.
  • Ensure MRI safety compliance according to established protocols.
  • Adhere to IRMER regulations and your defined scope of practice, in line with HCPC standards.
  • Engage in departmental audits and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist Clinical Lead Radiographers as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and report any issues following company policy.
  • Possess competency in intravenous cannulation and the administration of contrast media.
  • Contribute to the review and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with statutory and organizational standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.
