Specialist MRI/CT Radiographer

In your role as a Specialist MRI/CT Radiographer at Nuffield Health, you will find numerous opportunities for professional growth and insight into our diverse services. Given our focus on cardiac services, experience in Cardiac MRI and/or CT is highly advantageous, along with familiarity with Siemens imaging technology.

Key Responsibilities:

· Hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).

· Possess a postgraduate qualification and/or extensive technical expertise (preferred).

· Demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of MRI scans, particularly Cardiac MRI and/or CT.

· Exhibit an understanding and empathetic approach towards patients and colleagues.

· Show respect for all individuals, including staff, patients, and visitors.

· Maintain a proactive and innovative work ethic.

· Ensure the delivery of high-quality services with sensitivity and compassion.

· Display strong communication and teamwork skills.

Main Duties:

· Provide a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a diverse patient caseload.

· Be highly skilled in the operation of all relevant imaging equipment.

· Collaborate with leading professionals and utilize cutting-edge practices and facilities.

· Mentor and support junior staff members.

· Uphold MRI safety protocols in accordance with established guidelines.

· Adhere to IRMER regulations and your defined scope of practice, following the HCPC code of conduct.

· Engage in departmental audits and Quality Assurance initiatives.

· Assist Clinical Lead Radiographers as needed.

· Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and report any issues following Nuffield Health policies.

· Competency in intravenous cannulation and contrast media administration is essential.

· Contribute to the review and implementation of departmental policies and procedural updates.

· Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures.

· Maintain accurate records in line with statutory and organizational requirements.

· Participate in the on-call rota as required.
