Join Our Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist to join our team at the HWE Surgical Centre, West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing specialist assessment and treatment for patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in physiotherapy, with experience in acute and community settings. You will be responsible for working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a seven-day delivery of the Orthopaedic Therapy Service. This will involve sharing expert advice, guidance, and information with patients, health and social care professionals, carers, and relatives.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for line management and supervisory responsibilities, as well as supporting service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a seven-day delivery of the Orthopaedic Therapy Service
  • Share expert advice, guidance, and information with patients, health and social care professionals, carers, and relatives
  • Line management and supervisory responsibilities
  • Support service development
Requirements
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised by Health Care Professionals Council
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • Documented evidence of Continued Professional Development of expanded specialist skills
  • Attendance at postgraduate courses in relevant fields
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £37,162 to £44,629 a year pro rata, including HCA. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
