JOB OVERVIEW

As a crucial member of our maintenance team, you will be instrumental in reducing equipment downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the safety of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and enhance the existing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System, implementing and following preventive maintenance protocols to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce unexpected failures.
  • Swiftly address and rectify equipment breakdowns and operational issues.
  • Work closely with production personnel to schedule maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal impact on production flow.
  • Engage with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including expenses, repair documentation, and equipment maintenance history.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, machinery, and tools to proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations during maintenance operations, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Stay informed about industry advancements, best practices, and innovative technologies to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior maintenance personnel to foster their development in plant maintenance.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and safely with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer role or a comparable position within a manufacturing or industrial context.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance strategies and methodologies.
  • Solid technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Skilled in utilizing various tools and equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex equipment challenges.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with senior team members and external service providers.
  • Excellent time management and organizational capabilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in maintenance-related fields, such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional), is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines pertinent to plant maintenance, including ISO 9001.
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
