Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the completion of work in a quality and timely manner. You will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects, including day-to-day breakdowns, planned maintenance, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that the company's vision, values, and policies are adhered to at all times.
- Support the engineering team with hands-on experience to mentor team members, ensuring that planned maintenance, safety procedures, and working procedures are followed.
- Ensure that the company's vision, values, and policies are adhered to at all times.
- Support the Engineering Manager/team to ensure compliance with regulations for fire and alarm systems, PAT, pressure valves, etc., analyzing the results and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.
- Support the Engineering Manager to ensure risk assessments/COSSH/RIDDOR, etc. are implemented and undertaken, and accident prevention measures are initiated as required.
- Support the Engineering Manager with the planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to meet production requirements of ongoing maintenance and unplanned issues.
- Support the Engineering Manager to plan and direct operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment as per production requirements.
- Work with approved suppliers to obtain parts and machinery.
- Support the Engineering Manager to deliver training to engineers and operators on new machinery, using the machinery documentation and safety procedures.
- Proven experience of industrial maintenance or production.
- Operational maintenance experience (hands-on) would be preferred.
- 2 years Team leader experience or CMI level 3 (desirable)
- Educated in a relevant engineering field.
- NEBOSH qualification (desirable).
- Experience in applying and implementing LEAN manufacturing systems (desirable).
We offer a competitive salary of £49,000 - £51,000 DOE and the opportunity to work for a company that offers many development opportunities, has a national structure to facilitate ambition, and offers a friendly and supportive working environment.
