About this key role

Our successful candidate will initially meet clients and develop an action plan, ensuring they complete action plan paperwork, while also discussing other support needs and signposting, if required, to other agencies. We will also rely on them to provide mentoring for the client in a positive manner and to support placements to help clients reach their individual specific goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to develop an action plan and ensure completion of action plan paperwork
  • Discuss other support needs and signpost to other agencies as required
  • Provide mentoring for clients in a positive manner
  • Support placements to help clients reach their individual specific goals
  • Work alongside other agencies to build professional relationships and identify additional support needs
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Liaise with the St Giles Peer Advisor Coordinator and keep them fully informed

Requirements

  • Be willing to undergo training for the role, including a Level 3 certificate in Advice and Guidance and policies and procedures induction
  • Ability to write reports and action plans (training given)
  • Able to work on own initiative and follow instructions when required
  • Sound understanding of the issues faced by clients
  • Ability to calculate risk and implement safety procedures when engaging with clients
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
