About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Advisor. As a Peer Advisor, you will work closely with our clients, providing vital support, guidance, and advice to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to develop action plans and ensure completion of necessary paperwork
  • Discuss support needs and signpost clients to other agencies as required
  • Provide mentoring and support to help clients reach their individual goals
  • Build professional relationships with other agencies and ensure adherence to health and safety policies
  • Liaise with the St Giles Peer Advisor Coordinator and keep them fully informed

Requirements

  • Be willing to undergo training for the role, including a Level 3 certificate in Advice and Guidance
  • Ability to write reports and action plans
  • Work independently and follow instructions when required
  • Sound understanding of the issues faced by clients
  • Ability to calculate risk and implement safety procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills
