Job Description

Job Title: Baby Room Leader

Job Summary:

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to lead our Baby Room team. As a Baby Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for infants between 3-24 months of age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a Safe and Enriching Environment: Oversee and manage the Baby Room, ensuring a safe and stimulating atmosphere for infants to grow and develop.
  • Develop and Implement Age-Appropriate Activities: Design and execute activities that promote infants' cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
  • Provide Personal Care: Deliver high-quality care, including feeding, diapering, and nap routines, to meet the unique needs of each infant.
  • Cultivate Strong Partnerships: Foster open communication with parents, providing regular progress updates and ensuring their involvement in their child's care.
  • Lead and Mentor Staff: Supervise and train room staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence to all nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with babies aged 0-18 months.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of child development in early years.
  • Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for delivering nurturing care and support to infants.
