About the Role

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and promoting their development in a warm and supportive environment. You will work closely with our care team to provide individualized care and support, and ensure that all residents receive the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care and support to residents, ensuring their needs are met through effective care planning.
  • Lead shifts, ensuring all staff are informed and tasks are completed efficiently, and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Support and supervise junior staff, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Plan and arrange social, recreational, and educational activities, including outings and holidays, to promote residents' well-being and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, care plans, and daily logs, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Work collaboratively with families, advocates, and external professionals to support residents' well-being and achieve positive outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential setting with children or young people.
  • NVQ 3/Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience in leading a team and managing staff, with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
