Job Summary:
Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resettlement Support Officer to join its Refugee & Asylum Seeker team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the integration of refugees and asylum seekers in the borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual support plans for households or families, providing advice, support, and signposting to help them adjust to life in the UK.
- Maintain and update the Homes for Ukraine scheme databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Manage the web-based case management system, the Foundry, and conduct relevant checks and information monitoring.
- Ensure effective procedures and auditable record-keeping, adhering to the Council's Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable people, assessing need, and documenting support.
- Understanding of immigration and Refugee Resettlement programmes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Good knowledge of Data Protection/Confidentiality, safeguarding policies, and procedures such as Child Protection, Safeguarding Adults, and MARAC.
- A flexible approach and ability to work across the borough of Cheshire West and Chester.
