Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our Respiratory MDT to provide specialist advice and support to patients with respiratory conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced assessment and treatment of patients with complex respiratory conditions
  • Develop and implement innovative dietetic treatment pathways
  • Work closely with therapy colleagues to develop the respiratory service
  • Participate in development, education, and delivery of training to dietetic staff and healthcare professionals
  • Initiate and carry out service development projects on the respiratory wards
About the Role

This is a fast-paced environment that requires good leadership and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive wider General Medicine dietetic team and will have the opportunity to complete research, audit, and showcase dietetics.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent, Registration with HCPC
  • Essential experience: Significant post-graduate experience in relevant specialist area, Practical skill & in-depth experience in a multi-disciplinary setting in relevant specialist field
  • Desirable qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Dietetic Practice, Attendance at relevant multi-disciplinary courses/conferences
  • Desirable experience: Experience of training Dietetic students, Evidence of relevant continued professional development
