About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Dietitian to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in respiratory medicine, you will play a key role in providing expert nutrition advice to patients with respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced nutrition plans for patients with respiratory conditions, including those requiring enteral feeding and oral nutritional support.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist advice and support to patients with complex respiratory needs.
  • Lead the development of innovative dietetic treatment pathways and participate in research and audit projects.
  • Provide training and education to dietetic staff, healthcare professionals, and students on respiratory nutrition and dietetics.
  • Contribute to the development of the respiratory service and participate in service development projects.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant post-graduate experience in a relevant specialist area.
  • Practical skills and in-depth experience in a multi-disciplinary setting in a relevant specialist field.
  • Experience of training dietetic students and providing clinical supervision.
  • Continued professional development in areas such as clinical practice, teaching, and communication skills.
