Job Summary:

Luxfer MEL Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join our Magnesium Elektron Foundry team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily activities of the manufacturing team, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve overall performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and report on production metrics, including quality, productivity, and safety performance.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Secondary school education with at least 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent), including English, Maths, and Science (grades C/4 or above).
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience working with molten metal, ideally in a foundry environment.
  • Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
