Job Overview

Position: Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers - All levels.

AtkinsRéalis stands at the forefront of Water Network Management, influencing discussions both nationally and globally on the sustainable management of water systems. In response to our expanding project portfolio, we are looking to recruit Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers at various levels across our UK offices. Our teams operate with flexibility, allowing for a range of home office options from the listed locations.

The Clean Water Networks division is part of the Asset Planning & Solutions practice, engaging in diverse projects related to water and wastewater management. This includes designing water supply systems and enhancing drainage networks to mitigate flooding and pollution, thereby improving environmental conditions. The role typically involves conducting feasibility studies and utilizing computer modelling to support operational and environmental recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience in clean water network modelling, particularly with software such as Synergee, InfoWorks, and GIS tools like ARC or MapInfo, is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
  • For senior positions, proven experience in model usage, hydraulic analysis, solution development, and technical leadership is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and guide a team of clean water modellers.
  • Implement cutting-edge solutions and foster innovative approaches.
  • Conduct clean water modelling and manage distribution networks.
  • Develop and calibrate network models for various applications.
  • Utilize network models for planning, operational, and design purposes.
  • Manage Detailed Zonal Studies, Pressure Management, and DMA Design.
  • Supervise report generation and review outputs for quality assurance.
Educational Background:
  • BSc/BEng/MEng degree in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications for senior roles.
  • Technician roles require HNC or HND qualifications in similar disciplines, with opportunities for further qualifications available.
