Positions Available: Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers - All levels.

Locations: Various UK offices.

AtkinsRéalis stands as a prominent entity in the domain of Water Networks, leading discussions both in the UK and globally on the future management of water systems. With the ongoing expansion of our Water business, we are looking to recruit Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers across our UK offices. Our teams operate with flexibility, allowing for various home office arrangements.

The Clean Water Networks division is part of the Asset Planning & Solutions practice, which undertakes a variety of projects related to water and wastewater management. This includes designing water supply networks and trunk mains, as well as enhancing drainage systems to mitigate flooding and pollution, thereby improving our environment. Typical responsibilities involve conducting feasibility studies and projects using computer modelling and analysis to support operational and environmental recommendations.

Key Qualifications:
  • Experience or familiarity with clean water network modelling software such as Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS tools like ARC or MapInfo, and civil engineering principles is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies and computer analyses to support water network enhancement projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and other professional entities.
  • Generate concise reports outlining methodologies and findings from investigations.
For Senior Positions:
  • Demonstrated experience in model application, hydraulic analysis, solution development, and technical leadership is essential.
Requirements:
  • Management and technical oversight of a team of clean water modellers.
  • Development and implementation of innovative industry-leading solutions.
  • Expertise in clean water modelling and distribution networks.
  • Construction and calibration of network models.
  • Utilization of network models for planning, operational, and design objectives.
  • Oversight of Detailed Zonal Studies, Pressure Management, and DMA Design.
  • Supervision of report preparation and review of outputs.
  • Proficiency with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, and other modelling software.
Educational Background:
  • BSc/BEng/MEng degree in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications for senior roles.
  • Technician roles require HNC or HND qualifications in similar disciplines, with opportunities for further qualifications available.
