Principal Clean Water Modelling Specialist

We are seeking a Principal Clean Water Modelling Specialist to enhance our Water Consultancy division. Our mission is to cultivate talent, promote environmental sustainability, and foster a positive work culture.

Our comprehensive suite of water services encompasses strategy formulation, business planning assistance, solution innovation, testing, optimization, and design, all grounded in our extensive knowledge of hydraulic and water quality modelling . We are currently looking for professionals with a strong background in Water Engineering to join our team across various levels.

About The Team:

By joining our Clean Water Modelling Team , you will contribute to a prestigious consultancy framework focused on leveraging, maintaining, and expanding our hydraulic modelling resources.

We are in search of hydraulic modellers at different experience levels to support a diverse range of water initiatives, including optioneering, detailed design, and asset condition evaluations.

You will collaborate with a talented hydraulic team to assist our design unit, conduct zonal studies, and develop solutions for water engineering projects. This ongoing program of work ensures a stable career path for the foreseeable future.

About You:

We are looking for driven engineering professionals who are passionate about problem-solving and possess Water Industry experience in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in water engineering and network analysis, contributing to the delivery of specialized, complex, or innovative projects while ensuring compliance with client and design standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, providing technical mentorship to junior colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Experience with GIS Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Proficient in using water modelling software such as InfoWorks WS Pro, Synergi, or similar tools.
  • A valid clean driving license, as site visits and travel to client locations may be necessary.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Coding experience is advantageous but not mandatory (e.g., Ruby, Python).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development and execution of clean water modelling projects, engaging in all aspects including scoping, model construction, maintenance, zonal and growth studies, and design support.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical and analytical reports.
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary project teams to build and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with clients and other RPS disciplines.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to junior team members.
  • Conduct client meetings.
  • Ensure the quality of deliverables and adherence to client specifications.
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards in all projects.
