About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Water Engineering team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and reviewing electrical and instrumentation control and automation (ICA) elements in wastewater and water infrastructure treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and ICA Design: Develop and review electrical and ICA designs for water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Produce and review client deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and technical reports, to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Project Management: Assist in the preparation and management of bids, using internal systems and operations, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, delegating tasks and overseeing their work to ensure effective team performance.
Requirements
  • Education: BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables, with multi-disciplinary knowledge, ideally including treatment schemes.
  • Project Management: Experience of managing projects, delegating tasks, and technical mentoring.
  • Professional Qualifications: Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
