Senior Director, Monitoring and Evaluation

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead our Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) practice in the UK. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight, expertise, and leadership to build and deliver a MEL programme portfolio, as well as MEL advisory support to our implementation contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Apply in-depth MEL technical expertise to implementation and MEL programmes, ensuring quality of MEL project methodological approaches, reports, and other deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to conduct billable assignments, ensuring meeting of billability targets for the Practice.
- Maintain consistent application of existing best practices and innovative methodologies in current MEL programme/s and in MEL components of implementation programmes.
- Take on roles of Programme Director, Team Leader, or STTA Senior Technical Expert on MEL programmes.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assume a leadership role in MEL network development and professional societies, representing the company at technical conferences.
- Proven experience in MEL, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality MEL programmes and projects.
- Excellent technical skills, with expertise in MEL methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel periodically to explore new business opportunities.
