Position Overview: The role of the Heat Pump Maintenance Engineer encompasses a variety of responsibilities crucial for ensuring optimal performance of heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the execution of work on-site, specifically focusing on hot water cylinders, solar thermal systems, and heat pumps.
  • Conducting repairs on general central heating systems.
  • Coordinating labor and materials effectively.
  • Providing on-site supervision and delivering technical and practical assistance.
  • Performing fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on both commercial and residential heating systems.
  • Executing installation and upgrade tasks for heating, sanitation, plumbing, and HVAC equipment, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Adhering to relevant regulatory standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for the Heat Pump Maintenance Engineer position will possess:

  • A proven background in Air Source Heat Pump technology, with essential ASHP/multifuel experience.
  • Formal training and relevant craft qualifications, such as Domestic Plumbing NVQ L2/L3 or City & Guilds equivalents, with additional qualifications in Water Regulations, Solar, and RFQ L3 being advantageous.
  • F-Gas certification is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and regulations.
  • A full clean driving license and electrical qualifications (17th/18th edition) along with control re-wiring experience would be beneficial.
