Position Overview

The role of the Heat Pump Maintenance Engineer encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the efficient operation of heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the execution of onsite tasks, including work on hot water cylinders, solar thermal systems, and heat pumps.
  • Performing general repairs on central heating systems.
  • Coordinating labor and material resources effectively.
  • Providing onsite supervision while delivering technical and practical assistance.
  • Conducting fault analysis, maintenance, and repairs for both commercial and residential heating systems.
  • Executing installation and upgrade tasks for heating, sanitation, plumbing, and HVAC equipment on both a planned and reactive basis to ensure optimal safety and efficiency.
  • Adhering to relevant regulatory standards and best practices.
Candidate Profile:

We seek an ideal candidate who possesses:

  • A proven history of experience with Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) and multifuel systems.
  • Formal training with recognized qualifications such as Domestic Plumbing NVQ L2/L3 or City & Guilds equivalents, along with desirable qualifications in Water Regulations, Solar, and RFQ L3.
  • F-Gas certification is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current legislation and regulations.
  • A full clean driving license and electrical qualifications (17th/18th edition) along with control re-wiring experience are preferred.
