Role Overview

As the Senior Vice President of Synchronization Licensing, you will lead our initiatives to maximize the international exploitation and monetization of our extensive music catalog through synchronization licensing and facilitation. This pivotal role requires a visionary professional with a profound understanding of the synchronization licensing landscape and a creative approach to the rapidly changing digital media environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Synchronization Licensing Management:
  • Oversee and manage relationships with administrative partners, focusing on maximizing synchronization revenues and strategically enhancing the conversion rate of synchronization interest.
  • Evaluate synchronization requests, negotiate terms with clients and publishing administrators based on comprehensive data analysis.
  • Prepare requests for final synchronization approvals with efficiency and accuracy.
2. Partnership Development:
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key publishing administrators and stakeholders, including co-publishers, labels, and partners in film, television, advertising, gaming, and digital media.
  • Negotiate and secure high-value synchronization agreements that contribute to the commercial success of our catalog.
3. Synchronization Licensing Development:
  • Investigate emerging segments of the synchronization market and devise strategies to tap into these areas to broaden our global revenue streams.
4. Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure the effective management of the synchronization licensing process, including deal negotiations, contract administration, and rights management.
  • Implement best practices and streamlined workflows to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and rights management, to facilitate seamless execution of synchronization agreements.
  • Provide innovative solutions to adapt to the evolving market demands.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in a senior synchronization licensing role within the music or entertainment sectors, ideally encompassing both rights ownership and client/licensee perspectives.
  • A proven track record of securing high-profile synchronization agreements and driving revenue growth.
  • A strong network of industry contacts and relationships with key decision-makers across film, television, advertising, gaming, and digital media.
  • A deep understanding of the synchronization licensing landscape, including emerging trends and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in a second language.
  • A strategic thinker with a forward-looking mindset and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred.
