About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Apollo Home Healthcare. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to service users, including assistance with daily activities, clinical care, and companionship.
  • Work collaboratively with the service user's family and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the service user's needs, preferences, and goals, and use this knowledge to inform care planning and delivery.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans that promote the service user's independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as moving and handling, medication administration, and complex care.
Requirements
  • 3 months previous care experience, including personal care, moving and handling, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to working with service users and their families.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early, mid-day, and late afternoon shifts, as well as alternate weekends.
