Learning Disability Service Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Disability Service Lead to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Learning Disabilities Acute Liaison Service, providing expert advice and support to ensure the organization meets its responsibilities regarding adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support to the organization on matters involving adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities.
- Lead and champion the needs of adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities across the Alliance.
- Provide effective professional leadership to multi-agency teams and influence practice to enhance service provision.
- Support activities to ensure the organization meets its responsibilities regarding adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with professional practitioners to deliver a whole systems approach for the identification and treatment of patients with learning disabilities.
- Provide expert evidence-based knowledge and leadership on issues affecting the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities.

Requirements- Registered Learning Disability Nurse or relevant first-level professional qualification in AHP/Social Work.
- Relevant post-registration experience and/or evidence of formal training at post-graduate diploma level.
- Leadership and Management module or working towards qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior clinical position (band 7 or above) within learning disability services.
- Significant post-registration experience related to caring for people with learning disabilities.
- Evidence of current knowledge of local and national policies relating to adults and children with learning disabilities.
