Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Physiotherapist with a profound interest in Neurology and Long-Term Conditions to become a part of our esteemed outpatient services.

A comprehensive understanding of managing patients with chronic neurological conditions, neuromuscular disorders, and functional neurological issues is crucial. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating across various healthcare teams and the ability to work independently.

Exceptional organizational abilities, teamwork, and a flexible approach to service delivery are essential. A commitment to continuous professional development, along with an interest in audit and research, is expected. Support for your clinical and professional growth will be provided by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and the Professional Lead for Physiotherapy through regular evaluations and training opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, specialized physiotherapy assessments and intervention programs for outpatients with neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate as a vital member of the Therapy Neurology Out-Patient and Long-Term Conditions Team, working closely with colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage with Neurology Consultants, the Specialist MDT, and the Therapy Manager to ensure the continuous development of Therapy Neurology Out-Patient and Long-Term Conditions Services in response to patient needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council

Desirable:

  • Master's level qualification or equivalent in a relevant specialty

Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive post-registration clinical experience at a senior level
  • Participation in relevant postgraduate courses and ongoing professional development
  • Prior experience in assessing and treating Neurological and Long-Term Conditions
  • Experience in staff performance management
  • Able to manage a complex and demanding workload

Desirable:

  • Evidence of achieving key quality performance indicators
