About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our specialist out-patient services at the Walton Centre. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Neurology and Long Term Conditions, and will be able to demonstrate a practical and theoretical working knowledge of postgraduate Physiotherapy Practice across a range of clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with other clinicians, including medical and nursing staff, to influence service development and ensure quality of care is delivered.
  • Provide clinical education and training to other health care professionals.
  • Influence research and professional development for self and others.
  • Participate in clinical rotations across all areas of the Walton Centre Therapy service as directed by Therapy Managers.

Person Specification
  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health & Care Professions Council registration
  • Ability to demonstrate a practical and theoretical working knowledge of identified specialist area of practice
Requirements
  • Previous experience of assessment and treatment of Neurological disorders and long term conditions
  • Able to plan and carry out a complex and demanding workload
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of the role of physiotherapy in the Neurology outpatient setting
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical reasoning and a holistic approach to patient care
  • Effective and responsive communicator on all levels
  • Demonstrate diplomacy, tact, and empathy within clinical/team settings
  • A positive attitude to change and flexible working practices to meet changing service demands
  • Postgraduate experience of working in an outpatient setting
  • Experience of supervising and delegating to junior staff and appraisal
