About the Role

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our Neurosurgical team. As a specialist in the management of spasticity, you will play a key role in the assessment and treatment of patients with long-term neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with spasticity, including subjective and objective evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with the multidisciplinary team
  • Deliver high-quality clinical interventions, including intrathecal baclofen pump management and selective dorsal rhizotomy
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health & Care Professions Council Registration
  • Extensive post-registration clinical experience at a senior level
  • Previous experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological and long-term conditions
  • Ability to plan and carry out a complex and demanding workload
