About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our West Yorkshire team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing highway engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage highway engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement highway design principles, standards, and practices.
  • Utilize design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create detailed designs and reports.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and maintain a strong understanding of industry standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing highway engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of highway design principles, standards, and practices.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience with highway design, including alignment, grading, drainage, and pavement design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Current UK experience within a public, private, or third sector UK-based client.
  • Understanding and appreciation of CDM regulations.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
Desirable Qualifications
  • HND, HNC, BEng, MEng or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • IEng or CEng.
