Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highways Design Engineer to join our team at Access Talent Group. As a key member of our transport planning and infrastructure engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for our clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Independently use design software, including AutoCAD, Microdrainage, and Civil 3D, to create detailed designs for highways and infrastructure projects.
- Design Standards and Compliance: Ensure that designs meet the requirements of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, as well as local and national highway authority standards.
- Project Management: Manage projects from initial appointment to completion, including liaison with clients and third parties, and coordination with project engineers and senior team members.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks within areas of responsibility, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Site Visits and Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits to review project constraints and the construction process, ensuring that designs are implemented correctly and to the required standard.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in highways design and infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, Microdrainage, and Civil 3D.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
