About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our West Yorkshire team at Waterman Aspen. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing highway engineering projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage highway engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to support project delivery and client needs.
  • Contribute to the development of highway design principles, standards, and practices, ensuring they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing highway engineering projects, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of highway design principles, standards, and practices, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using design software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with experience in highway design, including alignment, grading, drainage, and pavement design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Current UK experience within a public, private, or third sector UK-based client, with a strong understanding of CDM regulations.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
Desirable
  • HND, HNC, BEng, MEng, or equivalent in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
  • IEng or CEng would be beneficial.
